What Own the Set does

Own the Set is a desktop app for DJs who find music on streaming services. Spotify’s terms rule out DJing with it in public, so before you play at a gig, every track on your playlist has to be a file you own: the right mix, in a quality a DJ can use.

Own the Set does that work for you:

1. You bring a playlist from Spotify, Apple Music, a CSV export or a pasted list.
2. It checks your library: your music folders and the DJ software on your Mac.
3. It plans the rest: for each track, the cheapest way to own the right version in WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC or MP3 320.
4. You buy on the store’s own page. Own the Set links to each track’s page and keeps a checklist. It never buys, downloads or rips anything itself.

Everything runs on your computer: no account, no server.

What it doesn’t do

• It doesn’t sell, download or play music.
• It doesn’t sign in to Spotify or any store.
• It doesn’t change your DJ software’s library: it only reads it.
